A new workforce development initiative aimed at supporting women seeking employment is set to begin later this month in Southfield.
Gesher Human Services announced it will launch its “Women to Work” program starting January 27, offering free resources designed to help women overcome barriers to employment.
According to program organizers, the initiative will focus on resume development, interview skills training, and networking opportunities. The program is intended to assist women who may be reentering the workforce, transitioning careers, or facing other employment challenges.
Participants will have the opportunity to receive guidance from experienced professionals while building practical skills needed to compete in today’s job market. Organizers say the program also emphasizes confidence-building and peer support.
Gesher Human Services has a long history of providing employment and social services across Metro Detroit. Officials say the Women to Work program reflects ongoing efforts to promote economic stability and access to opportunity within the community.
The program is free to attend, though space may be limited. Interested participants are encouraged to contact Gesher Human Services for registration details and additional information.
